If you don’t detect the extreme left — pure socialist — tone in statements like his today, then, well, you’ve probably been brought up watching the state-owned, socialism-reliant CBC, and went to public schools.
By the way I love how SOME media is slowly adopting my correct language for describing the state-owned CBC. “State broadcaster” works just fine, exactly as it does to describe Iran’s state broadcaster.

OTTAWA – The president of the state broadcaster says the CBC has plans to expand its reach into new media platforms, and compete with private broadcasters for professional sports broadcast rights.
Hubert Lacroix promised to keep CBC at the “centre of a revolution.”
“Around the world, the public broadcaster is being challenged,” said Lacroix. “And of course, the most severe critics are the private media groups who seek to limit its role and activities in order to gain a competitive advantage.”
Lacroix said CBC will push ahead with plans to use its public subsidy to expand to new platforms and create new television channels.

What is this talk of a
enterprise and freedom generally, like CTV’s various business shows and their sister channel 
progressives’ effort to create a “Canadian Culture”…. FOR US. A “Canadian Culture” by government decree. By rule of law. They think we’re incapable of creating our own culture. So they deploy the government to do it for us. They deploy the government to do everything for us. The government is always the answer for progressives. For every thing. 
); and myriad laws restricting American content; and more laws actually forcing Canadian content ratios on people watching TV; and other broadcast laws actually forcing the state-owned CBC (and to a lesser extent, liberalvision CTV) onto cable and satellite packages, whether citizens want them or not.

As one commenter at the state-owned, taxpayer-funded CBC.ca web site wrote, “Why would I care about anyone else’s orgasms? I don’t need this information.”

Oh don’t be so alarmed. This is par for the course on one of the most hateful, family-unfriendly sites in North America —the state-owned, publicly funded to the tune of 1.5 BILLION per year, socialism-reliant, divisive, far-left “national treasure” (as progressives quixotically call it), the liberals’ CBC division.
Notice how 24 well-trained left-wing CBC hate worshipers took the time to give that violent comment their “thumbs up”.
The state-owned CBC is a “national treasure” to the extreme left in Canada. It’s a “national disgrace” to the rest of us. State-owned media should be banned in this country, and that notion should be enshrined in our constitution.
